Lake Trip

Hey guys, here are a few pictures of the lake trip that Charles and I went on last weekend. Sumner cousins get together for this trip and they (cousins and significant others) all have been doing this trip for 4 years. Super fun! As you can tell we took advantage of all the lake had to offer by wake boarding. We both learned how to wake board at camp, and man, it is a blast! Enjoy some of the pics!

Lots going on

Here's Brady on his way to MIDDLE school. I can't believe it. I have taken his picture every first day of school in this very spot. When I compare them WHEW, he sure has grown. I am letting out a few more feet of string on Brady's kite. I let him go to the high school game by himself...meeting a few friends there. Afterwards, we had a short discussion about freedom and how quickly it can be lost if he makes a bad decision. " I know Mom" I'm working most of the labor day weekend so my summer is just about over. The end of Sept Brian and I will be celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary in Las Vegas. I can't wait. Well, take care ...time to go to work. Luff ewe all.

Park City Wedding

Hey everyone, wanted to be the first to post about cousin Joe Cronley's wedding last weekend in Park City, Utah. Let me first say that Park City is just lovely. It reminds me a lot of Steamboat Springs, CO, but newer. All the winter Olympics infrastructure is still there and visible including the very neat snow ski jumps seen from the highway. We all arrived at different times Friday and settled into our very cool hotel rooms (really like a condo). Maria and Chaz and I shared a room and Aunt Chrissie and Dad and Colleen shared a room as well. Of course once I got there, the party started. We had drinks in Dad's room and quickly made dinner plans. We ate at a very quaint and scenic Italian place overlooking Main Street. Dinner was great, very pleasant just sitting and talking all 6 of us. As our bellies were full and eyelids tired, we returned to the hotel to say hello to the bridal party. They were late from the rehearsal dinner, so the tired ones retired. Chaz and I returned to find all the cousins and Joe and Kelly having drinks and getting reacqainted. Chaz and I mingled, caught up with all the cousins, learned new things about our Cronley counterparts, and drank a few beers. When I met Kelly, she informed me she's also Dr. Kelly Cronley (how fun!).

Friday turned too quickly to Saturday and Aunt Chrissie opened her kitchen to all of us for breakfast! Bacon, eggs, toast, and Earle Grey tea. Our bellies full (again) and we ventured out to the mountain base area and decided to take a gondola ride up the Canyons mountain. After some dramamine (sp) and some seat facing
forward, Maria and Colleen think they are ready. Here we are (except me) before the ride. After a nice quick trip and short walk, took a short trip in town to see Joe and Kelly's new home and a quick bite to eat before the wedding.

The wedding at St. Mary's church was lovely! One of Patty's kids stole the show and cried loudly, "I can't stop Momma!" "I can't stop" much to Patty's dismay. She had to leave with the little one and the ceremony continued. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel to pick up a shuttle to the reception. Most of the Cronley's rode up the moutain together. The weather had greatly improved as the day wore on and it was sunny and lower 70s. We had drinks on a deck overlooking another base area and then inside to a sit down dinner. After some tear-jerker toasts and speeches, the dancing started. And it kept going long after we left around 10pm. What a great party, great family time, and fun memories created.

I'm sure Chaz and Maria can add some more (especially pics), as well as Dad (if we can get him to post something). Except for tough times getting back Sunday for all, it was a wonderful weekend with family and new memories.

New Cronley Kid Pix

Here are the latest Cronley kid photos. I took them on the deck Sunday to replace some outdated pictures in a 3-picture frame at the top of the steps at home. Uploaded to Walmart.com and picked them up an hour later and put them in the frame. (of course I tweaked them a bit first)

Family Nooz

Hi all,
I got to talk with Lisa and Chaz last night and left messages with Kelly and CC.
Raymondo is the bike tiger now that Chaz got him riding in South Haven on jakes' loaner. It is such a liberating experience isn't it?
Lisa is driving down to NC to pick up Braido. Hard to believe that his week is almost over. She said that he was considering another year there until he is 13. It's been 4 years since he starting going there.
Suzi Barresi has been over at 331 Erie St this week and next. Tom and AI are going over next week for dinner with them. Also I have to have a girl's chat on the beach with Suzi.
Thie weekend is a busy one. I have a choir retreat Sat morning til 12 then tom and I have a wedding at St Catherine's at 2. Sunday, open house as usual. monday, Martha Gesmundo is having a birthday brunch at her house for her birthday.
I am envious of Chaz, Maria and Kelly going to Joe Cronley's wedding next week. I loved his recent posting on his blog about his fishing trip!
That's all for now, loveys.

SMC not so random run in...

Hello All... just a quick note... no pictures, sorry. I am overdue for a post, so here it is. Last Friday, I started my little part time job at Belk department store in the china and home department. After registering there and liking the woman who set up our registry, on a whim I asked her if she needed any part time help. She said, are you kidding. The next week, I had a little part time jig. I am scheduled to work 2 weekends a month. The department is super busy and thanks to my previous retail experience, the other people working in the department were quick to thank me for jumping right in! So, that is really beside the point of my post, but you needed some back ground to understand my excitement.

I saw a mom and daughter looking for twin sheet. After an unsuccessfully looking for the right color and size, I asked her if she was going to college soon. She answer yes. Where, I asked, totally expecting her to say UNC or NC State. She told me, Saint Mary's College. OMG, I must have talked to her and her mom for the next 1/2 hour about how much she would love going to school there! We exchanged email addresses right then. I just got done writing her an email. I hope my timing is right that she receives her email as she checks into freshman orientation. Not many people here know about the SMC that I know and love, so it was a very nice and unexpected surprise... just wanted to share!

If it’s Wednesday, it must be McDonalds.

Lily samples a local establishment's fine cuisine. She highly rates the eatery’s atmosphere. In summary, she’s lovin’ it!

After that heavy meal, she’s ready to work it off at the "gym."

After a workout like that, who wouldn’t need a bath?

Weekend tidbits

Hello, all.

I thought I'd post some phone pictures from this weekend. First up, Lily at Krogers, Raymond and Maria in the background. Nothing special here on this Saturday.

After an allergy pill-induced nap, I pulled out my bike from storage, having never ridden it since moving to Silverwood Farms. I was inspired by Raymond's new cycling prowess Lily's new training wheeled bike and especially Maria's purchase of a new bike for herself.I inflated the tires and oiled the chain and went outside with Lily and rode circles around her while she did her typical 2 laps around the cul-de-sac and was done. Unsatisfied, I told Raymond how much I had been looking forward to his learning to ride a bike so we could go off on some father-son adventures. He was really excited. We rode down to a nearby creek I had always wanted to explore. While I have no pictures of the riding part, this is a picture of Raymond by the creek. I look forward to more of these. I look forward to cycling with Maria, too. Maybe next year, Lily will be ready for the bike path, too.

Finally, here is a shot of our leaving Steak'n'Shake. Sunday was an errand day. New uniforms for Raymond. A bike helmet and kick-stand for me. Hope everyone has a good week.

Camp Thunderbird

Good morning, Brady has checked into Camp Thunderbird for the week. This is his 4th year and he is going for his BLUE bandana. If you can email him words of encouragement...GREAT. Address Campers@campthunderbird.org add his name in the subject line and cabin 20. I drive down on Thurs to pick him up on Friday. He starts "middle school" on the 22nd. He actually has to be out the door and on the bus by 7:30 am this year. Luff ewe all, Lisa

More stuff fron NC

A few picture of the match. As CC wrote we had a great time. It was very hot..I'm not just talking the match. Don't know why I ending up with 2 of the small picture?? CC and Charles house is very nice and I love the yellow kitchen, like Mom said it reminds me of the kitchen in Marion. Lots of golf stuff, but you can see CC in the purple room and the addition of family pictures. Brady loved Brody and Brody loved Brady. B took lots of pics of Bro in action. We did the morning garden walk, holding our tea and coffee mugs, jusy like Mom does at my house. The HOT weather sure makes for some interesting gardening. Well, I'll download pics of Chrissy's house and send it through email. It's awesome, very homey and comfortable.

I love to drive the go-carts and I know all the right lines in the track. I successfully "moved" Brady out of the way. I think he was pointing in the wrong direction at some time during the race. The picture is a tad blurry because I go FAST.
Brady is off to Camp Thunderbird this weekend, and I'll be driving to the south AGAIN..don't ask!! Luff ewe all

Blog Success

Hey All. I finally had success in changing the side bar on the blog to include all the other Cronley blogs (Lisa, CC, Tom and Joe Cronley). I am working on the picture for the profile, but the one I have of the 4 kiddos at Aunt Clare's house is too long and gets pushed down to the bottom of the page even when cropped. Chaz, any thoughts? This is the pic I am trying to post on the profile to show up by the contributors.

Jay and Kelly's weekend

Since CC recounted her weekend with Lisa and Brady, I thought I'd regale you with my weekend of fun (;>). This will be a thick description of the thick weather weekend here in Missouri--think scorching heat and manual labor. Jay and I spent Saturday loading long floor boards to replace the old carpet at the condo in Steamboat Springs, Colorado (see the note below if you don't know about our condo). Imagine 6 pallets of varying length boards, all stacked up. Luckily Jay is forklight certified and can move them around with that. Then imagine having to comb through those pallets to get 8 foot pieces, all the same width--for 400 square feet worth. Then imagine us in the searing heat of 95 degrees for two hours. Sheesh. We got to cool down when during lunch and then were back at it again for another couple of hours. It was one of those things where you are sweating so much it gets in your eyes and on your sunglasses. But, as Jay reminds me, it's free flooring for the condo...whatever.

Next step is to stain all those 8 foot long pieces, individually. He started on Sunday and has about 4 weeks to get it all stained. He's doing it as I type now at 8:00pm Monday evening. Here's a picture of him in the carport with all the boards in the trailer in the foreground and all the boards he's stained stacked on the wall. Jay is in his element with these kinds of projects. He's one of those "rather do it myself" kind of guys. You gotta appreciate that. Then in early September, Jay will drive out to Colorado and install the flooring himself. That will complete the remodeling of the condo and we should be done with that for awhile.

Note: We bought a condo in Steamboat Springs, CO three years ago as investment property. It's right at the ski resort and we rent it during the ski season (and other times as well). We go two times a year; once to ski and once to do work/enjoy the place.

Lisa and Brady's trip to NC

Lisa, Brady, Charles and I had wonderful time this weekend. The visit was all too short, but that is always the way I feel after spending time with family. Friday night, we went out for dinner and some amusement at Frankie’s which is very similar to Jillian’s or Dave and Busters. Lisa and Charles were neck and neck for the last 9 holes in putt putt. (Picture of the score card to come... don't worry, Lisa) No surprise, my sister-the lead foot-beat us all at the go kart track. (More pictures to come from Frankie's)

Saturday, we woke up and had breakfast at our own leisurely pace and then packed up to go to Pinehurst for the rest of the day and night. Aunt Chris's house sits right on a lake, so we put on our suits and floated in the water for the afternoon. The water temperature was just below bath water, but nice to hang out in. Brady dove off the swim platform. Charles stayed back to waited for my Uncle Al to come home from golf and talk about all things golf related, I am sure. We had a wonderful dinner(thanks to the Mimms) and chatted until it was bed time.

Sunday, we got up for some more chatting over tea and coffee. Uncle Al and Mr. Mimms went to Sumter, SC for a family reunion. Before they headed out to SC, Lisa and I gave hugs to Gramps. Lisa and Brady packed up and left from Pinehurst around 12noon to get back home. Posted by Picasa

Sandra works out

Camera phones may be low quality, but they are quite convenient.
