Good Morning all,
This is the formal photo of the Koestner women at InaFest June 28, 2008.
The party was at Laura Huggett's house in Stevensville, a beautiful spot and a beautiful day.
Andy Koestner (the sole male attending) was the photographer for about 8 cameras for this shot.
Seated in the chairs are Jean Branson, Doris Reisterer, Joan Beebe, Colleen Koestner and Mary Iverson from Chicago.
We had cousins from Las Vegas, Memphis, Drummond Island, Chicago, Phoenix and Dallas, Texas.
A lovely time where we remembered the missing women and men with pictures, stories and prayers.
However, no one volunteered to have the party next year. Someone will, I'm sure.

Chrismas is Coming

Kelly is here for a visit - yea - and we are working on the Christmas Secret Santa draw for 2008. Can everyone email me and/or call me (Lisa and Brian, CC and Charles, Jay and Kelly, Priscilla and Tom) so that I can email you back with your instructions. I don't have everyone's email address and this will expedite things. Thanks so much! Can't wait to see everyone at Christmas; it will be here before you know it.

It was Charlie's turn to pick the letter, and he picked a tough one - "W"
Have fun with this one.

Too hot to go outside, but we jammed inside!

Well, NC has been catapulted into summer with record breaking high temperatures. Saturday, the record high was broken reaching 103 degrees to set a new record.

So you might think that we had cabin fever all weekend long. NO WAY! It was project central at our house. Charles installed track lighting in the kitchen last weekend. Then this weekend, Bob Villa, I mean, Charles installed under the cabinet lighting with a touch dimmer for an extra special touch and to add more task lighting.

My flea market finds are now installed.

Charles moved a glass shelf from one wall to the downstairs bathroom for a more finished look. Also noticed the most recent picture of Izzy.
Last but not least, my finest work, and my pride and joy... my memory wall/framing project came to 99% completion. After attending the framing class at Pottery Barn, I was armed with the knowledge and know how to complete my wall. Winning a black lacquered picture frame in the raffle also inspired me too! After a few tweaks, I am just about there. A need a picture for one of the frames and fill the spot over the wedding invitation is also a must. (following the odd/multiples rule) I am thinking a plate, a star or something metal. Any other ideas?
Friday night, we attended a Durham Bulls baseball game until the 4 inning with our neighborhood friends. We decided going to dinner in the AC was better than sweating outside at a baseball game.

Emerald Isle: Beach Trip

Back to normal life, after a wonderful week at the Emerald Isle. It was a packed house with lots of bodies. Only rained once, the rest of the time we had clear skies and tons of sun. To say I am sun kissed would be an understatement. Love my tan! Walked the beach, read an entire book, swam, played bocce ball and bean bag toss.

Charles and his dad played handy man to get the house ready for the rental season with projects to update the house. The next project on the slate is to build an outdoor shower stall. Hoping to get back for a quick weekend during the rental season, if the house does not rent out.
