My Black Challenger is here!
Ordered May 12th, built Sept 18th, delivered Sept 26th. She’s my new black 6-speed manual beast.
I'll have some more pictures, especially daytime shots, plus more video this weekend.
It is a blast to drive. It barely fits in the garage, though. I see door dings in our future.

Jay and Kelly in Steamboat Springs, CO
Here we are in Colorado last week! Having a great, albeit short, vacation. These pix are from a short hike we did Thursday with our friend Laura (she takes pix, but doesn't star in them).
Had a great relaxing 4 days in Steamboat. We ate a lot, slept in as best we could, did some hiking, soaked in the hot springs, and did a little work on the condo. We'll be back in January 2008 for a week ski trip.

Love the photo of Izzy in the wind!
Can't beleaf how the cabin is coming along. Thanks for the visual updates, Kell
Wolfpack beat the Pirates
Charles and I tailgated this weekend before the NC State vs ECU game on Saturday in Raleigh. We had a blast and the Wolfpack beat the Pirates in OT. Charles was a happy camper. Both of us did not wear our hats and came home with sunburned faces.Looking forward to more tailgating and football in October, when Lindsey and JB come down for the ND vs UNC game. Go Irish.
Mom, I know you were sick of seeing the doggies on the blog, but this picture is just too cute. Izzy likes taking car rides. I love to watch her ears flap in the wind!Sunday, September 21, 2008

Updates on Cabin remodel!
Thanks to mom for getting the ball rolling again on posting to our fambly blog. I've been absent for so long on this blog because Jay and I have been spending weekends up in Fair Grove working on our soon to be remodeled log cabin. We are starting with the entire kitchen remodel along with new cork flooring in both the kitchen and master bathroom. I'm attaching pix here for you starting with the outside shot, so you have some perspective. Then, there is a "before" shot of the kitchen and some new additions we've worked on recently: a new center island with wood slab bartop in the fore (this is a full piece of sycamore wood, compliments of Jay's handiwork with the belt sander) and then a new kitchen pantry in the back ground. Then there is an "in progress" shot of the cork flooring install in the bathroom. Enjoy.
More to come...same cork flooring in the kitchen, cabinets installed, countertops added, and then new stainless appliances delivered, new carpet on first floor, and then MOVE IN. Will try to keep you posted with big developments.

Update Monday 9-15
I couldn't bear to open up the blog and see those dogs again. So, I am going to update you all on the Cronley doings via the Sunday night phone calls.
Lisa- was off Sunday and will be working every day this week in preparation for the Las Vegas anniversary trip with Brian (who else?). She is reading the 3rd book of the Stephanie Meyres vampire booksCleveland had strong winds on Sunday and the power was out across the street from her. As we were talking the power went out on her side of the street. She has lots of branches down and was thankful that the tree trimmer had been there this month or there would have been lots more (on the house even). Brady's football team lost their first game last week. Brian came in to see him play - quarterback. They will be seeing lots of shows in LV maybe even Donnie and Marie! I'm sure we'll get pictures of those too next week.
Chaz- Cincinnati also had high winds on Sunday gusts up nto 65 Mph. Raymond said it was weird to hear the wind whistling through the house and was glad it wasn't at night. The family had to go out on Sunday to a party that was cancelled due to no power for the caterers. So they observed lots of roof shingle missing and downed trees. They were the only house on their circle that didn't lose roof shingles. The neighbors below them, the coach's house, had the basketball hoop stand fall over on one of their cars, ouch. The Firehouse (new OMS office) is almost ready (October). Chaz was cutting out 9 stainless steel tops for the work room tables. The fam also went there on Sunday for a peek only to find on the roof something had blown away that could have allowed rain into the new building, yikes. Raymond had his first trumpet lesson at St Francis for the band. Then Saturday he had his first formal art lesson at the Y and Llily had her first gymnastic lesson.
Kelly- I didn't get a chance to talk with her long as she was at her bunco group when I called.
CC- She and Charles had their first Dolwick Drive bloggers tailgate party for the ND game on TV. Only one other couple was rooting for Michigan. They all met when one of the group started a blog for the neighborhood and 5 couples responded, some they knew some had dogs and some were new and lots of fun. Charles is playing golf this weekend. Not much else is happening except she is back with her hip hop group lessons. Lindsay is pushing CC to read the Meyers vampire books too. Lindsay and JB will be coming down for the ND/ No Carolina game in Oct. What a blast that will be.
T&P- It rained all weekend long in Kalamazoo. We never saw the sun until Sunday night for 5 minutes and it rained again. 9-10 inches at our house. Saturday I went to the movie The
Women with 20 of the women that were in the Civic Theaters play of the same name in 2007, then went out for an early dinner at a new downtown restaurant. That was fun.
Afterwards I went to BBBeyond to shop only to find it closed due to a tornado warning, nothing happened. Sunday we went out to the farm instead of staying inside for another day. The water was pooling in yards and fields on our way there. We walked in the rain, of course, for a tour of the stream and the pond. Water was running over the road down by the stream driveway. A dam is neede ( put it on the list). The stream was running fast and half way up the banks. It's a good thing we built a bridge up high on the bank. Tom finished up the electrical work in the tool room and I read the rest of the afternoon.
