Emerald Isle mini vacation

Update: Two pictures for you... from the beach! Katherine and Thom (Charles's Dad) took about 500 pictures from their week at the beach. I will go through them and post some of them.

Hi there. Happy almost summertime! Well, with the temps in the 80s and 90s this weekend, it is summer in NC. I don't have any pictures to share yet, but Charles and I spent last weekend, Monday and Tuesday at the beach with his parents, Mama, Katherine, Mike and their kiddos. We had lovely beach weather, we could get out on the beach in the morning and stay out until late afternoon. I swam in the ocean TWICE, played paddle ball, walked and read a book from cover to cover in 2 days. Not to rub it in too much, but I also started on a great summer tan!

As soon as Katherine posts her pictures I will pass them along. Here is the link to the beach house, so you can at least have a visual of where we go. This is our third trip to the beach house this year. I love going there! I am still recovering from my depression of having to leave!

I hope everyone has a nice Memorial Day weekend... see you all very soon for Sandra's graduation!

Raymond's ToyLab Birthday Party

Greetings janpcronleykids fans, I bring you the photos from Raymond's birthday party. I’ll post a link to the ToyLab website that has the studio pictures of the kids creations, including the toys’ names and superpowers. They had a great time picking out the parts, telling the toymakers how to put them together and watching them do it. Very cool party, big hit. The title of this blog entry is a link to all the photos. It can also be found here:

Mudroom update

I thought I'd post a work-in-progress shot of our mudroom. I have one more section of crown moulding to go! (and add the coat hooks) I've also included the obligatory Photoshop rendering of the project as we envisioned it a few months ago.

UPDATE: Here’s a few more shots after completion of the crown moulding and the addition of knobs and hooks.

MothersDay@Lisa's2007

The "new" guest room in Brady's old room. The wall colors are not true. It is more a kahki, mocha color. The rug matchs just great. The crown molding really adds to the panache'. The room is very comfortable, quiet and dark, too. The window valance is a table runner with clips on a pole, very creative from Martha Stewart. Good job, Lisa, our decorating maven.
Then we did our'gardening' thing on Saturday and Sunday. We planted her three big pots and some new ground plants. It was a cool sunny day after Mass for planting. It was great fun. Her garden center (Pettiti's) is amazing for choices. I gave her some morning glory, nastershums and batchelor button seeds to sprinkle in. The little pot next to the bench has basil and rosemary.
At 2:00 we drove an hour to Brady's game in Ashland. It was, as they call it, an "L" game - losing 7-4. His team got most of their runs on stolen bases. It was not one of Brady's best game, He got hit on the thigh at bat and lost a fly ball in the sun. I will post his baseball photos later.
Thanks for all the cards and call on Mother's Day. I am blest.

Sundae nooz on twozday

Hi Fambly,
I hate to post after CC's delightful weekend report. You were a busy gal.
Huuummm, today is May the first. Seems to me that there are several birthdays in this month in the fambly way. Papa's (RIP) on May 2, 1915. Who else?
Lots going on with Raymond's First Communion. When we talked with Chaz on Sat for Maria's birthday, they were in Dillards getting a First Communion suit for Ray. I guess the one they got was too itchy or something and they returned it for one at Target? But Ray like the blue stretchy shirt with the yellow zip(?) tie. He mentioned that the class had rehearsal for the First Communion. He thought the bread tasted like cardboard. The wine he just let it touch his lips, kept them closed until he touched his tongue to his lips later in his seat and thought it tasted good. Any thoughts on your First Communion memory? Lisa's at Gull Lake, Chaz at San Jose, Kell? CC at St Monica's.
Kelly and Jay had been doing fambly duty for Jay's mom Anita's breakage and recovery, even staying overnight to keep her company. Kelly is getting closer to being named dept chair/head this week. Kudos to her.
Lisa and Brian had their last bowling and banquet last Sunday. They won some money even. Brady is started with travel team for baseball, an away game already on Friday night the 11th.
CC told you her news.
I just finished up the play, a nice experience with no divas and lots of love all around. You know those theater people! I worked an open house on Sunday after First Communion At St Catherine's. Monday morning I worked in the garden. Biggie news, we are moving out of 1400 W Milham Prudential Preferred at the end of May. I am going to the Stadium Drive office
with 2 other gals from here in a 3 person office. Change equals opportunity for growth, right?
Talked with Leslee Hoover who ended up with an emergency hernia operation 2 weeks ago.
That girl will be glad to get this year over with, pneumonia, emphysema, Phil with heart problems, Hurricane Katerina, 2 dogs and a move to Indianapolis IN, her 5th move in 7 years or something like that.
Patty Cronley Wood has a birthday this month. WHoooo else and how soon????
