As we soldier through August, I thought I'd better get it together and post my videos of summer. Click in the video a second time to see it in HD in a new window. Enjoy!

Sumner Cousin Lake Trip 2009
The annual Sumner lake trip took place last weekend. We have been going to Justin's (Justin is Liz's husband, Liz is cousin's with Charles) parent's lake house for a couple of year now. We can't seem to remember how many years, but every year is always a fun time. This year, we were down in numbers, but had a great showing. Highlights - playing cranium, fireworks, great weather, good food!
Here are a few snapshots.

Saint Mary's Student Send Off Brunch
Hello Fam and Friends out there -
Ok, Lisa, we heard ya... I have one note to mention, but no pictures. Booo.
On Sunday, The Eastern NC Saint Mary's Alumnae Club (not official, but we are working on it) had our first event. We honored 3 current students of SMC and wished them well as they prepare to head back to school. The whole state of NC has 5 students, 3 students (1 JR, 2 SR) live in the Triangle Area.
I am a part of the board, appointed as the communications director. I was in charge of getting out the evite (email invitation) to all the email addresses of alum in our area. We have about 100 alum, and 25 RSVP yes, about 16 came. The board was very happy and enthusiastic about our turn out. The current students walked away with a $15 gift card to the bookstore as gift from us.
My highlights from the brunch was meeting another psychology major from '04. Meeting an alum that coordinates CCD classes for elementary students in Chapel Hill. And watching two alumnae from '88 reconnect after not seeing each other since graduation day.
The board is currently getting our by law passed, hosting a Founder's Day event, and collecting dues to officially become a club. Our next event will be our Founder's Day event. The board hopes to host a potluck and a mass at our treasurers home in October.

Plants 2009

I added a few more containers up front, these are next to the back door. The other is on the front corner. There is also a trailing morning glory going up the corner. I did add more new plants in the back yard patio beds, the tall fuchsia is a lobelia and a new shasta daisy. Next pic is a "dooley" hydrangea, light pink flowers and a dark red astilble.

Hello family, yes it's fun to quickly post to facebook but I heard from some that they miss our blog. SOOO here's an update with pics of my flowers, plantings and garage.
Morning glories, some from seed , some new plants.
Other news: Brady started football practice and weighs in at 140 lbs and is 5'10", looking to be the freshman quarterback. Brian has left for Maryland. He will be working on a corrections campaign and starts his last month on probation. I also started job shadowing assignment with a dental office this week. WOW is it different from the '80s when I did assisting. The office is really nice, I would LOVE to work there! I have orientation for school on Weds. I really hope the funding comes through before 8/24th. Well that's about the news here! Now let's try to use our blog!! Luff ewe all!!
