Update with a few pics

Hello all...

I noticed that Charles and I have a few pictures that might be fun to post on the blog. Earlier than this month, we took a beach trip to the house in Emerald Isle with our neighbor friends, David and Monique. We did not have great weather. But like we always say, it does not matter, it is the BEACH. We ventured out on Saturday to Beaufort. While in Beaufort, we walked around the shops and watched a few boats come in.

The next weekend, my company holiday was re-scheduled due to a forecast of 4 inches of snow. As the planner of the holiday party, I didn't really take a deep breath until I saw the snow fall around 3pm that afternoon! Better safe and sorry with snow around here! Man, it was a cold couple of days after the snow, even Brodie snuggled into our comforter.

Big news at Dolwick Estates is the purchase of a BRAND new couch! Yay! Check it out. Charles and Brodie like it! (I know it is not a great pic, but you get the idea) Lots deco changes coming in the very near future!

I got the job!

Yes, I got the job! It was announced officially at a faculty meeting a week ago Wednesday at 2:00pm. After a number of meetings with the dean to negotiate the terms, I was finally able to accept the offer yesterday afternoon. Thanks for your patience along the way, and for all the assistance and support you provided (most of it last minute or in "the moment"). Your support was significant in my decision to move forward with applying for, interviewing for, and accepting the position. I have felt such love and support from you all, it's immeasurable! You should know also that Jay has been my rock and sounding board throughout the entire process and it only confirms how much of a gem he truly is!


Thanks for sending me the flowers too. Here they are...just lovely! I love you all very much and look forward to your continued support in my next career phase.

Here are some of the latest puppy pix.

The solo pix is Mr (Ms) Spock/Spot. Some of the other temporary names are Arrow(Erroll) Flynn - mustache and arrow on head, Snowflake- brown with speckled white spots on tummy like snowflakes, Frieda, Fritz, Fred, Fraulien, Fiona.

They are all gaining weight, up to 2# now.

NEW PUPPIES

They're Here!!!!

5AM this morning I heard Kaycee whining and crying and we went down to the basement. There were already 3 pups by the time I got down there. We stayed through 5 more puppies until 11:00 and time for work. What a great experience!

There are 2 black and white spotted pups, , 2 brown and white spotted, 1 all brown, 3 black ones, 3 males and 5 females. I love their little mewing sounds but ask me again tomorrow morning.

Happy New Year 2008

Hello to all, the retail buzz is slowing down. It was a fairly easy season, 10th new general manager and all. Brian was home for 2 weeks and is off again in Ky until 1/18. Brady really scooped up the gift card to all his fav clothing stores...thanks to all. He watches the weather report daily to check out the snow report. Unfortunately the warm temp the last 2 days have wiped out all the snow we did have. We are planning a spring break trip to Denver, Co to board and ski. We also celebrated with the Marion Blackledge family on Sat 12/29. We had a large roast and those yummy asparagus with bacon, potatoes, lots of extras.

Thanks to Jay for my "J" gifts. He wanted to send himself as he is a J, but he's Kelly's. I received jars with jammies, jelly beans, jerky,jasmine candle, jalepeno chipotle rub and a jazz CD. Thanks again. Brian received from Charles a bottle of JAMESION burbon. I enjoyed the J challenge, Chaz, how did your jammies fit?

I did get the computer cleaned up so I'm hoping to get the webcam up and running.
