Park City Wedding

Hey everyone, wanted to be the first to post about cousin Joe Cronley's wedding last weekend in Park City, Utah. Let me first say that Park City is just lovely. It reminds me a lot of Steamboat Springs, CO, but newer. All the winter Olympics infrastructure is still there and visible including the very neat snow ski jumps seen from the highway. We all arrived at different times Friday and settled into our very cool hotel rooms (really like a condo). Maria and Chaz and I shared a room and Aunt Chrissie and Dad and Colleen shared a room as well. Of course once I got there, the party started. We had drinks in Dad's room and quickly made dinner plans. We ate at a very quaint and scenic Italian place overlooking Main Street. Dinner was great, very pleasant just sitting and talking all 6 of us. As our bellies were full and eyelids tired, we returned to the hotel to say hello to the bridal party. They were late from the rehearsal dinner, so the tired ones retired. Chaz and I returned to find all the cousins and Joe and Kelly having drinks and getting reacqainted. Chaz and I mingled, caught up with all the cousins, learned new things about our Cronley counterparts, and drank a few beers. When I met Kelly, she informed me she's also Dr. Kelly Cronley (how fun!).

Friday turned too quickly to Saturday and Aunt Chrissie opened her kitchen to all of us for breakfast! Bacon, eggs, toast, and Earle Grey tea. Our bellies full (again) and we ventured out to the mountain base area and decided to take a gondola ride up the Canyons mountain. After some dramamine (sp) and some seat facing
forward, Maria and Colleen think they are ready. Here we are (except me) before the ride. After a nice quick trip and short walk, took a short trip in town to see Joe and Kelly's new home and a quick bite to eat before the wedding.

The wedding at St. Mary's church was lovely! One of Patty's kids stole the show and cried loudly, "I can't stop Momma!" "I can't stop" much to Patty's dismay. She had to leave with the little one and the ceremony continued. Afterwards we headed back to the hotel to pick up a shuttle to the reception. Most of the Cronley's rode up the moutain together. The weather had greatly improved as the day wore on and it was sunny and lower 70s. We had drinks on a deck overlooking another base area and then inside to a sit down dinner. After some tear-jerker toasts and speeches, the dancing started. And it kept going long after we left around 10pm. What a great party, great family time, and fun memories created.

I'm sure Chaz and Maria can add some more (especially pics), as well as Dad (if we can get him to post something). Except for tough times getting back Sunday for all, it was a wonderful weekend with family and new memories.

It was fabulous to see you all!!!! Thanks so much for making the trip. Wish we could have spent more time together, but some is better than none. What an amazing weekend, and an amazing place. Park City is definately worth a return visit!!!!

Go recap Kell. So glad we got to go and visit and see everyone. I know it meant the world to Chaz, and I loved reconnecting with the Cronley clan.

The group pic on the post looks straight out a magazine, great shot! I thought about you guys living it up out there this past weekend. I got a recap from Chaz too. He said he kept looking around Park City thinking about what it would look like with snow.
Maria- you look great... nice to see you on the blog! Thanks for the comment on Sumner blog. Miss you too :)
PS.It looks like it is my turn to post...

What a great time! I agree with Maura that it would've been nice to have had more time together. I've read somewhere that Park City gets 300 inches of snow each year. I'll take it during the summer and leave all the snow to the skiers!

Kelly, you are a master at the recap and the perfect picture, too. Can't wait for the Joe Cronley clan to post some pictures, too. I want to see it all. Thansk again.
