Hey Everyone,
Can't believe it's been over almost a week ago that Mom was here. She showed up early a week ago Thursday and after many hugs and kisses I opened a nice bottle of white wine and she sat at the island in the kitchen while I got dinner started. It was a weekend of work, wine, fine food, and fun. Friday we surveyed the territory that would be our work for the next four days--my home office/Jay's massage room and the lack of landscaping in our yard. Have no fear, Momma is here. She brought day lillies and her will to plant everything I had in pots. Here's some of her handiwork: a crape myrtle (sp) at the top of the drive, and day lillies and some Missouri Primrose under our window. She also potted the morning glory she brought in June at graduation. We also did some major organizing in my home office. We took it from "throw everything in there" room to a nicely organized shared office/massage room thanks to a creative room divider that Mom thought of. We bought some nice semi sheer curtains, put clip rings on them and string them on a cable wire across 1/4 of the room. So, you can pull the shears across the room and voila, you have a nice room to put up the massage table with candles on small shelves Jay put on the wall. I'll share some pix when I get the room finished next week.
We also cooked almost every night for dinner, thanks to Jay. And of course, we had to take Mom to the Brew Co Friday night for drinks and jazz and then to Bijans for a savory dinner. Thank goodness we worked so much during the days so that we earned our scrumptous dinners each night. And, Jay took it upon himself to make homemade margaritas for a couple nights as well. Yummy. Thanks Momma for a great long weekend and spending some quality time with us. Of course you are welcome anytime! Lisa, you and the gang are next (:>)

Kelly, what a lovely thank you note and recap of our precious weekend together. Lisa read it this morning and we both remarked that the 2nd picture didn't come up. So nice to talk to you again last night and have everything in context for your life with Jay, MSU and home on Farm Rd 193 plus Fair Grove now. I couldn't believe how far I went on east on 44 until I came to the FairGrove and Stafford(?) exit. WE crossed that coming back from Woody's didn't we?
Hi Kelly... You got a BIG deposit into your emotional bank account! Isn't that the best! Love you much.
Momma,
Yes, the Strafford/Fair Grove Exit is more east than you realize and we did come through that on the long way home from Woody's
CC, yes, big deposit. Hey, can you see the 2nd picture on your view of the blog?
I see two pictures on your post, one of the myrtle and, one of the side of the house. I hope to have a post about our weekend at the Lake with the Sumner cousins. Stay tuned!
