Here is a video of the big 30 surprise party! Whew, what a day!
Charles and Katherine hosted the 30 party inviting neighborhood friends, family and work friends all together. The cover was that we were having a causal birthday celebration at our house next weekend. So, Charles and I were just going over to Katherine and Mike's for dinner, because Tom Sumner was in town. Earlier in the day, Monique my friend, took me to the mall to get me out of the house to allow Charles to go get everything set up at Katherine's. Thankfully, earlier in the week Katherine told me that we were going out after dinner, so I "dressed up", not to arrive in shorts and a tee shirt!
I walked in an instantly recognized everyone's faces, I remember feeling thrilled to see Chan's face, then Aunt Chris and Uncle Al. The kicker was seeing Lisa and Mom realizing that they were at the party, which sent the flood gates WIDE open! The both of them were lurking in the background waiting to pull the sneak attack!
Lisa and Mom stayed with Charles and me for the rest of the weekend. They departed this morning after I left for work. I cried happy tears all the way to work! What a wonderful weekend and a joyful time for me! I was extremely touched and overwhelmed!

Oh CC, that's so awesome, thanks to the videographer, for capturing the moment of joy! You have such a great family both amongst us and in North Carolina. So awesome! Sorry we couldn't be there, but will see you in June! More to celebrate then too.
